Sam Pollard Development Producer

Sam is a development specialist who has had ideas commissioned on all major UK channels across genres including quiz, game, reality, comedy entertainment, factual entertainment and specialist factual.

Before joining Gogglebox he worked at 12 Yard Productions, Shine Television and the BBC.

He is creator or co-creator of:  The international hit format The Rich List/Who Dares Wins, the Bronze Rose-winning quiz show Beg Borrow or Steal, as well as The Benefactor, In the Best Possible Taste, Battle of the Popstars, The Colour of Money (“SALMON!”), Sport Portraits and History Cold Case among others. Since joining Gogglebox he has also developed the previously-piloted Breakaway.

The commission of which he is most proud, however, is The Great British Village Show, which was a hit with the viewers and the critics (The New Statesman called it “an anthropological masterpiece”).  Sadly, like Jimi Hendrix, JFK and Jade Goody, its life was short if hugely influential; at least in the giant-carrot growing fraternity.
