Having worked previously as a showbiz journalist for The Daily Telegraph and brand consultant at innovation agency What If, James joined Gogglebox from the Zodiak Media Group, where he worked as a Development Producer in the group’s central creative unit.
Since joining Gogglebox he has co-developed and produced Breakaway (BBC2) and The Exit List (ITV)
At Zodiak he was responsible for developing entertainment formats for its production companies across the world, including Sing If You Can (ITV1, Antena Tres Spain), The Guillotine (Telecinco Spain, TVP2 Poland), That’s My Kid (CTC Russia) and The Call (Italia 1)
Drawing on his marketing background, he also setup Zodiak’s branded entertainment team, working with brands and agencies to develop effective new ways of engaging with consumers through television
James had an unusual start to his career in television, appearing in seven game shows as a contestant before persuading 12 Yard Productions to accept him onto their trainee development scheme.
As well as being a recently new dad, James is also a keen kickboxer, quiz master and general games obsessive.
