Second series of ‘Plain Jane’ commissioned for MTV

20.02.12

With more than 22 million international viewers tuning in, Plain Jane returns for season two hosted once again by British fashion expert Louise Roe.

The new season will consist of 12 x 60-minute episodes (increased from eight in season 1), and will again feature “Janes” searching for the change of a lifetime – with the twist of a potential love match after the transformation.

With the help of Roe, each plain Jane receives a head-to-toe style transformation, including a new wardrobe and confidence-building exercises. Once the makeover is complete, the formerly plain Jane will surprise her unsuspecting crush with her new look and reveal her true feelings.

“I can’t wait to get started on the new series,” said Roe.  “We’re traveling even further afield to exotic destinations this time around, finding gorgeous clothes and romantic date locations, to give each Jane a life-changing experience.’

MTV’s Plain Jane will once again film in major international cities such as London, New York, Paris and Rome.  It will be produced for MTV by Gogglebox Entertainment; executive producers are Mat Steiner and Adam Wood (for Gogglebox) and David Booth, Andrea Speziale-Bagliacca and Ilya Colak-Antic (for MTV International).
